our story

Our journey began in June 2025, when we were commissioned by Kairos Church and the broader family of Acts Ministries International churches to plant a new church in Houston. We are a mix of transplants and locals that have come together to form this new community of faith because we have experienced the power, love, and truth of God's kingdom and we want others to experience it too. 

In February 2026, we officially launched Pillar Church! Our hope is that we would become a pillar within our community, faithfully supporting what God is doing in Houston to the ends of the earth. We don’t know yet where this journey will lead us, but we are so glad to be on this journey with God and with one another. Most of all, we are excited about all the testimonies of God's goodness and faithfulness along the way.

We're excited to be here in Houston! In many ways, this is the culmination of what God has been doing in our lives and through our prayers over the past decade. God has used the previous churches that we have served at to form inside of us a vision for the kind of church we hope to become. A church that is grounded in the Word of God and led by the Holy Spirit. A church that makes space for deep friendship and is intentional about being sent on mission. A church that experiences transformation through powerful encounters with God and regular rhythms of grace.

We believe that God loves this city and has always been moving in significant ways and we are so excited to be part of what God is doing in the Greater Houston Area. By His grace, we would love to be a place where healing, transformation, maturation happens.
